wTom is mistaken as a trouble maker. In reality, he is just curious. He's adventurous and fun loving. He obviously wants to be seen, because he makes sure to stand out. Right now, he's at the age where he's starting to like girls. He just broke little Amy's heart because he chose Becky over her. Tom will skip school and goof off during church because he thinks people will think he's cool if he acts like a rebel. Lately, he's been hanging out with Huck. They've been exchanging prizes such as dead rats, cats, and marbles.
Huck is a mischievous young feller! He's always getting himself in all sorts of trouble. All of the parents in the town forbid their children to hang around this nuisance. He is thought of as a pest. He never goes to school or pays attention in church. He uses very foul language and cusses constantly. Every parent looks down to his with pity. Not only was he a disgrace to this nearly perfect town, but he was basically Tom's hero. Ton wishes he could have the reputation Huck does.
Aunt Polly is just like any other good mother, she wants the best for her kids. Even though Sid and Tom are not technically her children, she still cares the same for them. She tries her very best to make up for their loss of their mom. Sometimes she over thinks it and she will be over protective or sometimes she will feel guilty and give Tom too much trust.
Sid is the average little brother. He feels the need to tell on his older brother every chance he gets. Much like my little brother, he will get his older sibling in trouble for the slightest mistakes. Sid will spy and pounce on Tom for anything he does that could be considered "bad". Of course, Aunt Polly will believe anything he says because he is so young and "innocent".
Mr. Walters is the type of man who cares what people think of him. He always wants to be thought of as the best at everything. He has high self esteem. You would see him holding his head up high and projecting his voice for the world to hear his "words of wisdom". Most of the time he just talks to hear the sound of his voice. He likes to believe he rules the town and he's the reason it's "perfect".
